Dynasty is a primitive system of power reproduction because it relies on the blood and descendants of only a few people. The definition of dynastic politics is the process of directing the regeneration of power for the interests of certain groups with the aim of gaining or maintaining power in a country. Is it natural for the position of head of government to be succeeded by his wife, children or close relatives? In our country there is a practice of passing power to those closest to us. Dynastic politics is the political phenomenon of the emergence of candidates from the family of the head of the government in power. A political dynasty, in simple language, can be interpreted as a regime of political power or political actors that is run from generation to generation or carried out by one of the family or close relatives. This political regime was formed due to the very high level of concern among family members towards politics and usually the orientation of this political dynasty is power. Political dynasty is a series of human strategies that aim to gain power, so that power remains with them by passing on the power they already have to other people who are related to the previous power holder. In a political institution, those who still have close ties to the family often have the privilege of occupying various important positions at the top of the organization's institutional hierarchy. There is also the practice of political dynasties by breaking up political power partnerships within the family, usually this is demonstrated by one of the family members joining another party to compete for political positions such as Regent, Governor, even President. According to UGM political science lecturer, A.G.N. Ari Dwipayana, The trend in kinship politics is a neopatrimonialistic symptom. The seeds have long had traditional roots, namely in the form of a patrimonial system, which prioritizes political regeneration based on genealogical ties, rather than a merit system, in weighing achievements. According to him, it is now called neopatrimonial, because there are elements of the old patrimonial, but with a new strategy. "In the past, inheritance was appointed directly, now it is through procedural political channels." the children or families of the elite enter the prepared institutions, namely political parties. Therefore, this patrimonialism is veiled by procedural channels. Several observers believe that political dynasties will foster political oligarchy and a climate that is not conducive to efforts to regenerate political leadership, where power is only held or controlled by people who are related or come from the same family, without providing opportunities for other parties to participate. Besides that, dynastic politics will have a bad impact on bureaucratic and government accountability, because it tends to be greedy and prone to the practice of corruption and corruption. Political dynasties in Indonesia are actually something that is rarely talked about or discussed, even though in practice political dynasties have consciously or unconsciously been a seed in politics in Indonesia since the era of independence. Political dynasty is actually a pattern that exists in modern Western society as well as in societies that imitate Western styles. This can be seen in politics in America and also in the Philippines. Political dynasties do not only grow among liberal-democratic societies. But in essence, political dynasties also grow in autocratic societies and also monarchical societies, where in a monarchical system, power will clearly fall to the crown prince in the kingdom. Political Ethics Ethics is something related to morals, values regarding what is good and bad. There are values that develop in society, values about what is appropriate to do and what is not appropriate to do. If analyzed from an ethical perspective, dynastic politics is not good if carried out by political elites. If a political elite advances by relying on dynastic politics and ignoring social ethics, then the level of public trust in the government will continue to decline and the people will judge that this nation in the era of reform was built on a system of nepotism. The formation of dynastic politics will create an unhealthy political order, even though according to law this is not prohibited, it is considered to be inconsistent with ethics. Even though there is an opinion that political dynasties are not a problem if the members who rise and occupy positions are people who have competence and are able to provide improvements in government, still political dynasties which are basically built on family relationships will create an imbalance when family factors are involved. personal nature mixed with general societal factors
