JAKARTA KONTAK BANTEN The wave of world rejection, including from non-Muslim circles, towards United States President Donald Trump's policy of relocating Gazans to other countries is increasingly widespread. Deputy Steering Committee of the Indonesian People's Alliance to Defend Palestine (ARI-BP) Hidayat Nur Wahid alias HNW emphasized that the current global momentum is increasingly supporting the struggle for Palestinian independence.
"Defending Palestine means saving humanity," said Hidayat during a press conference at the MUI office, Jalan Proklik, Menteng, Central Jakarta, Friday evening, February 14 2025.
He also highlighted Hamas' consistency in facing aggression from Israel and the United States. According to him, this resistance has shaken the power of the two countries and changed the geopolitical dynamics in the Middle East.
The Deputy Chair of the Indonesian MPR emphasized that now is the right moment to stop the crimes of Israel and the US and bring about a fairer peace for all parties. For Indonesia, he continued, this is the right time to pay the historical "debt" to the Palestinian people, who had previously supported Indonesian independence.
"This is our opportunity to channel more aid to Gaza so that they do not continue to suffer. This is part of our commitment to Islamic brotherhood," he stressed
